I'm back from taking a couple of weeks off. I needed the rest. We drove from Calgary to Vancouver Island which takes 2 days to get there and another 2 days to get back. It's a long drive but worth it because the scenery is so beautiful and there are many places to stop and site see. My husband and I have family on the Island, particularly in the Comox Valley region. We try to make a point to visit as often as possible within the summer months. I was able to take the photos I wanted, but couldn't get as many floral photos that I was hoping to get this year. It seems that the West Coast was a little colder than normal this past spring and the flowers didn't all get planted or that they are blooming late. Either way, I didn't get as many this time around. I do have some that I took and will be posting them soon. As for my art, I'm still working with colored pencils and I just finished a small drawing that I started while on vacation and will be posting that one soon as well. I just hope no one gets too bored with what I've been doing artistically these days. It seems I'm on a fruit drawing frenzy.
