Peony Water color

My water color study of a Peony based on Jacqueline Gnott's Instructional Water color DVD "The Queen. I was very pleased with how this turned out. It is sutler then the colored pencil study. the flower fills softer in this water color.

My pen and ink study of a peony. Image and idea is from Jacqueline Gnotts instructional DVD "The Queen". When I work on the pen and ink studies I am really forced to plan the shapes and forms. Peonies can seem very chaotic.
