Printmaking Portfolio on Permanent Display at Woman & Infants Hospital











Woman & Infants Hospital in Providence, RI has purchased one of our Providence Art Club printmaking portfolios in which 22 artists created various types of one of a kind prints for this project. We are happy to announce that we sold all 13 portfolios to raise money for the education department of the Providence Art Club. One of our portfolios was purchased by Woman & Infants Hospital.

A Different Kind of Portrait




I had forgotten to share this photo of a portrait I had been commissioned to draw so I'm going to post it now. Teaching Pastel and Selling Work

Fragments of Time





I have just finished this colored pencil drawing which is done on UArt paper and is 29x24". I start with Polychromos pencils which can blend really nicely into the sanded paper with a stiff brush then I add Prismacolor pencils on top. They don't blend as well because they have a more waxy consistency.

I've been working larger lately and just having fun being creative with the larger format.

Ocean Life Claybord Boxes


Here they are, my nine finished boxes. Each are 5x5" with a colored pencil drawing on the top and a smaller drawing on the inside. Inside drawings were done on Strathmore illustration board, outside drawings were done on Stonehenge white or cream paper attached to the claybord surface with Grafix double tack mounting film. Providence Art Club Little Picture Show

Providence Art Club's holiday Little Picture Show opens tomorrow, Sunday, December 22 with opening reception 12-4 p.m. The gallery will be open Mondays-Wednesday & Fridays 12-5 p.m.; Thursdays 12-6 p.m. and weekends 12-4 p.m. View hundreds of small pieces of artwork by members all priced at $250 or less. Providence Art Club opening

Here are photos of my art exhibit opening at Providence Art Club in the Maxwell Mays Gallery. My work is being shown with oil painter Jim Kubiatowicz so we titled our exhibit "Paint and Pencil". We had a successful opening and both had sales of artwork! Come see the exhibit if you get to Providence, it is showing until Friday, July 10.

Providence Art Club Little Picture Exhibit

These are the two halves of my wall space in the Maxwell Mays Gallery at the Providence Art Club. My colored pencil pieces on the gessoboard squares are getting quite a bit of attention because they are so different. At the opening reception, I sold the little tarts that I previously posted on the blog. Hoping to sell a few more in the next month!
